Creative Prompt #12

Today's Creative Prompts were very thoughtfully sent to me by Dianna. Aren't those images fabulous? She tells me that they came off her Target catalog that she got in the mail this week. So inspirational, first for your Christmas projects, but also for just general papercrafts. I can see how you could create all types of shapes using a collage of other shapes...too much fun! I can't wait to see what you all do with this!!
Thank you so much, Dianna, for this fabulous prompt!!!

Creative Prompt #11

I will let you in on a little secret of mine...one of my all-time favorite places to find inspiration is Target.com. That is where this card image came from...I can't wait to see what you do with it...

And a huge thank you to everyone that has given me feedback on the site...please continue to do so as you have ideas or see things that you like (or even dislike)...

Creative Prompt #10

Happy Thanksgiving! With today being the official start of the holiday season mania, today's creative prompt is going to be a bit different. Today (or in the next few days) I encourage you to create something that will help you get through the holidays. It can be something as simple as the "relax" card below that you can hang somewhere like your bathroom mirror.

It could be a Christmas journal that will help keep you organized. Here is a great digital kit that would make creating a hybrid journal a breeze. Here is a really fun example from Ali Edwards of a fun Christmas journal. Here is another really cool Christmas journal by Carrie Owens.
This is going to be different for everyone. Just make sure that your project is something that helps you slow down a bit and enjoy this holiday season.
And if you haven't done so yet, check out the creativity unleashed post below and give me some feedback about this site. You can do so here in the comments or shoot me off an email at snowchris_01@yahoo.com

Creativity Unleashed...

hmmmm...
Well, today is the day of the week where I normally upload the links to any of your work that was inspired by the creative prompts, but I think that I am the only one to link to this week.

I used CP #7 for three different projects that you can find here, here, and here. My project for CP #8 can be found here.

Now I realize that it is an extremely busy time of the year so I completely understand why you all aren't playing with me. But we have been doing this for a month now and maybe it is time for some feedback. So I need comments on this post.

*What could I do to make this site better?
*Are you liking the prompts?
*Do you like one particular kind of prompt over another?
*Right now there aren't deadlines...would you prefer that there be as incentive to get things done?
*Speaking of incentives, do we need some???
*Are the prompts coming too fast? Or are you okay with that so that you have a variety to choose from?
*Would you prefer to see examples of how to use the prompt when the prompt is posted or do you like using completely your own interpretations?

I am completely open to feedback and suggestions. And if you all just want to see what's posted and hope to someday be inspired, I am okay with that. The site is inspiring me to create...I just want it to do the same for others.

Let me know what you think!!!

Creative Prompt #9...

Creative Prompt #8 had bright, vivid colors so for today's prompt, I am going to give you a prompt with soft, warm hues.
If you have been around the blogging world for very long, you have probably heard of Alicia Paulson and her Posie Gets Cozy blog. Once upon a time, she also had a store in the Portland, Oregon area and this photo is from her store. There is so much eye-candy here to inspire you. Pick and choose what you wish and see where the creating leads you, or simply re-create the warm, cozy look of it all. But most of all, have fun and create!!

Creative Prompt #6

This is a creative prompt of a slightly different sort. It is a page out of the November, 2007 issue of Domino magazine. When I look at it, I think about layering my papers patterned paper first and then cardstock which is the opposite from the way that I normally layer. Of course, you may let the page inspire you in any way...just let it inspire you to create something and then come back and share a link with us!

Creative Prompt #4

Talk about great graphic lines for inspiration! This is a book from my son's library which just happens to be one of my favorite places to explore when I am looking for creative inspiration. Kid's books always have great graphic details. I can't wait to see what you do with this one.

BTW, this book is rated for kids ages 9-12 and if you have kids around that age group that aren't big into reading, you may want to search this book out. My son read this last year (6th grade) after recommendation from his school librarian and when he finished it, immediately sat down and read it again. I don't know if it was the story or the format that he loved more. The book is set up so that every other chapter is done in comic strip format and then the chapters in between are normal written chapters. The Fog Mound: Travels of TheLonious by Susan Schade & Jon Buller

Have fun with it and come back and link us up when you have created something!
